Despite the closing of the major papermills in the region, we are still logging strong. The wood market has definitely changed overnight due to Pactiv/Evergreen in Canton closing. However - there are currently specific market demands on certain species such as red oak, poplar and pine pulp. Despite the pulp market adjustments, log prices are actually on the upswing meaning that you will make more on certain species of standing logs than ever before.
